BJP senior leader M Venkaiah Naidu on Sunday held Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy responsible for the ongoing power crisis in the state.
Addressing a press conference here, Venkaiah Naidu said that the energy crisis has escalated due to short-sightedness on part of the Chief Minister. He said that the government had failed to realise that there would be a shortage of water and gas for power generation, and adopted a careless attitude towards addressing the problem.
Venkaiah Naidu said that the Chief Minister was busy trying to hit headlines by announcing various sops, but that he was not serious about overcoming the real crises being faced by the people. Naidu also condemned the government for the hike in power tariff and registration charges, and said that the registration charges had been increased by almost 400% in the recent past. (INN)
