Bandi Sanjay's Padayatra Enters Second Day

The Telangana BJP president alleged that CM K Chandrashekar Rao had misled the farmers by claiming that he was supplying power free of cost to the agriculture sector.
Hyderabad | 15th April 2022
The ongoing Praja Sangrama padayatra of Telangana BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar entered the second day today.

Kumar walked from Imampeta to the Undavalli centre till the afternoon on the second day, covering Linganvai and the Boodidapadu centre.

He held a public interaction program in the Lingajvai village along with union minister G Kishan Reddy and D K Aruna.

Speaking on the occasion, Kumar alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had misled the farmers by claiming that he was supplying power free of cost to the agriculture sector.

He said that the State government owed Rs. 60,000 crore to the electricity distribution companies, and with the KCR government not in a position to clear the dues owed to the electricity distribution companies, the burden of the arrears was being pushed onto the people through increased power charges.

He also claimed that the State government was not in a position to pay the salaries of its employees, and was on the verge of bankruptcy.

He alleged that KCR was raising the issue of paddy procurement only to divert the attention of the people from the increases in electricity and TSRTC bus charges, and the disastrous state of the Telangana economy in general.

Commenting on the Rajolibanda Diversion Scheme, Bandi asked KCR why the water of the scheme would not come to Alampur. He alleged that the State government had not spent even a single penny to provide water to the Alampur people although they had been making pleas for a long time.

He also claimed that the Centre was giving thousands of crores for the development of the villages in the State, and that part of that was going towards bearing the cost of the supply of free rations completely, but that the State government was taking credit for all the union government schemes.
