Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy along with his ministers and several MLAs today visited the Medigadda barrage in Jayashankar-Bhupalpally district.
The contingent reached the barrage in special buses from Hyderabad, and inspected the structure where some of the pillars sank and developed cracks.
The CM closely examined the fractured area, and went to the foundations of the barrage's pillars and saw the cracks.
The elected representatives saw first hand the damaged concrete structures and the iron rods that had come out from the pillars.
Reddy's team also closely inspected the Godavari river bed area below the collapsed pillar no 20 in block 7, and the entire wall of the pillar which was broken.
MIM MLAs and the lone CPI MLA also visited the barrage along with the Congress MLAs and MLCs. However, the BRS and BJP MLAs stayed away.
