Giving rise to speculations that the state Cabinet might undergo a major reshuffle, Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy left for New Delhi on Wednesday evening.
During his two-day stay in Delhi, the Chief Minister is likely to discuss the issue of a possible Cabinet reshuffle, especially in view of the increasing demand for the dismissal of tainted ministers from both the opposition and the ruling parties.
According to sources, the Chief Minister has been summoned by the party's vice-president Rahul Gandhi, although he will also hold discussions with other leaders including Sonia Gandhi, Ghulam Nabi Azad and Ahmed Patel.
Earlier this month, PCC president Botsa Satyanarayan
had left for a meeting with the party High Command in Delhi, where, it was speculated, he lodged a formal complaint against the CM.
Other senior ministers have also been demanding for Kiran Kumar Reddy's resignation. It is being speculayed that the CM might decide to drop both his critics and the ministers who have been accused in the CBI chargesheet, from the Cabinet.
Kiran Kumar Reddy is also likely to discuss the issue of revamping the party in the state. (INN)
