State Congress president Botsa Satyanarayana left for Delhi on the 8th of May, with the possibility of having a discussion with the High Command.
The discussion is most likely to revolve around strengthening the party and ironing out the differences within.
The persistent dissent within the state cabinet has reportedly been worrying the High Command for quite some time now.
The pending meeting between Botsa and the High Command was expedited when a group of ministers decided to align with Botsa against the Chief Minister.
A complaint was also lodged against the Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and his style of operation.
Moreover, some of the dissenting ministers are rooting for K Chiranjeevi as the future leader.
The fact that the results of the Karnataka elections are in favour of the Congress, makes the decision-making process easy for the High Command. Chiranjeevi had campaigned extensively in the Karnataka polls.
It is understood that the Chief Minister had extended an offer of peace to Botsa before the latter left for Delhi. (INN)
