BJP national vice-president Bandaru Dattatreyya on Monday demanded that Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy resign from his post immediately.
Addressing a press conference in Hyderabad, Dattatreyya said that the Chief Minister has failed to run the state government, has lost confidence of his cabinet colleagues, and is also at war with the Congress High Command. Therefore, he said, the Chief Minister has no moral right to continue in his post.
He said that Kiran Kumar Reddy has been touring the state without any support from his party or cabinet colleagues.
Referring to the meeting of YSRCP president Jagan Mohan Reddy with BJP president Rajnath Singh on Sunday in New Delhi, Dattatreyya said that Jagan has been clearly told that the BJP would not go back on its stand on Telangana. However, he added that the BJP would support a good "package" for the Seemandhra region after the bifurcation. (INN)
