Chief Minister Revanth Reddy today directed officials to prepare a draft plan for a Skill University in Telangana on the lines of those in Delhi and Haryana.
The CM along with Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka held a meeting with officials on the proposed university at the Secretariat.
On the occasion, the officials explained to the CM the various certification and diploma courses proposed to be offered in the proposed university. Both the CM and the Deputy CM made many suggestions. The CM asked the officials to focus more on the "demand" courses, and also made several suggestions on the organisational structure of the university.
"Plans should also be prepared to bring employment opportunities to the students who complete the training," Reddy said, and asked the officials to discuss placement participation with various companies in advance.
He also asked officials not to compromise on the funding for the establishment of the university.
The State government is planning to introduce the Telangana Skill University Bill in the upcoming Assembly session itself.
