Megha Engineering Infrastructure Limited (MEIL) today pledged Rs 200 crore under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to construct the Telangana government's Skill University campus.
The company announced that it would fund and build the entire campus, which would feature state-of-the-art infrastructure.
A delegation led by MEIL Managing Director Krishna Reddy met Chief Minister Revanth Reddy at the Secretariat. The meeting was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, ministers D Sridhar Babu, Uttam Kumar Reddy, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and P Srinivas Reddy, and MP Anil Kumar Yadav.
In the meeting MEIL expressed its intent to partner with the government in creating a world-class campus. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the university and the State government for the construction, in the presence of Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari, Special Chief Secretary (IT) Jayesh Ranjan and University Vice Chancellor V L V S S Subbarao.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy commended MEIL for its CSR initiative and assured full government support. He directed officials to finalize building designs within a week and initiate construction on November 8.
It's worth noting that the CM had performed the Bhumi Puja for the university in August on a 57-acre site near Meerkhanpet in Kandukur mandal, Rangareddy district. The campus aims to offer students comprehensive facilities, including advanced educational resources.
