The Congress Legislature Party on Thursday slammed Telugu Desam Party N Chandrababu Naidu for his alleged remarks comparing Congressmen with "wild boars".
Addressing a joint press conference at the CLP office, Legislative Council Whip Y Shivarama Reddy, MLCs P Venkat Rao, Ranga Reddy and MS Prabhakar condemned Naidu's statement and said that such terms best suit the TDP leaders who indulged in several scams including food for work. They said that Naidu should restrain himself from using unparliamentary language.
Venkat Rao said that Naidu's statements indicate his level of frustration, and that it appears that he has lost something very precious which has disturbed his mind. He also ridiculed the promises being made by Naidu during his "Vastunna Mee Kosam" padayatra. As the farmers procured loans by different banks and therefore, the money needed to be returned to the banks. He asked Naidu to explain how he plans to arrange those funds to fulfill the promise.
Ranga Reddy said that although YS Rajasekhara Reddy also made several promises during his padayatra before 2004 elections, he said he fulfilled all the promises. He said that YSR used to take advise from experts before making any promises. Naidu, however, reiterated Ranga Reddy, has been making promises as per his wishes.
MS Prabhakar also condemned Naidu's remarks against the Congress leaders. (INN)
