Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday accused Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy of cheating unemployed youth by making "bogus" promises of creating 15 lakh jobs.
Talking to media persons at NTR Trust Bhavan after the swearing-in ceremony of Telugu Nadu Trade Union Council president G Rambabu and 135 other office bearers, Naidu reminded that the cabinet ministers themselves have raised doubts over the generation of employment in the recently held Collectors' conference.
He said that he wondered how the government can provide 15 lakh jobs within the next 3 years when industrialists are moving to other states due to AP's problems.
Naidu demanded that the government make its stand on job security of contract employees clear before announcing the creation of 1.16 lakh jobs by the end of this year.
He alleged that the "middlemen" in Congress party would benefit from the Rajiv Yuva Kiranalu scheme.
He said that the TDP would launch an unrelenting fight to protect the interests of employees.
The TDP chief also predicted that YSR Congress president Jaganmohan Reddy would dissolve his party if the Congress party lifts all cases against him.
Stating that Jagan is simply waiting for an opportunity, he said that once the Congress withdraws cases, he would stop targeting it and merge his outfit with the party.
Naidu also predicted that just like the Praja Rajyam Party, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi would also merge with the Congress party soon. He said that the Chief Minister and Pradesh Congress Committee president Botsa Satyanarayana are focussed on politics and have no time to resolve people's problems. (INN)
