The Andhra Pradesh government today gave its green signal for the release of a mega DSC exam notification soon.
AP CM Chandrababu Naidu chaired a cabinet meeting that approved a proposal to issue the notification.
Several other key decisions were also made in the meeting.
It is known that Naidu signed on five files fulfilling the promises made by him during his election campaign, on the very day that he took over as the Chief Minister of the State. Among them, one was for a mega DSC that the unemployed have been are waiting for a long time. A total of 16,347 posts will be filled through the mega DSC.
An official notification in this regard is likely to be issued in a day or two.
In today's meeting, the cabinet discussed the proposals for conducting a new TET exam, and a DSC without the TET exam. It also discussed the schedule for the conduct of the DSC in the cabinet - the process is expected to start on July 1 and conclude by December 10, 2024.
Ahead of the 2024 Assembly elections, an announcement was made for the recruitment for 6,100 teacher posts. A total of 4,72,487 people applied for the jobs from across the State. But the recruitment was postponed due to the election code. The Chandrababu Naidu government, which came to power, revoked the notification and increased the total number of posts.
