Blaming the Centre for the political uncertainty in the state, Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu predicted midterm elections in the state.
Addressing mandal-level party workers at NTR Trust Bhavan, the TDP chief called upon his party workers to get ready for the mid-term elections in the event of the government's fall.
Accusing the Centre of being responsible for the current political situation, Naidu demanded that the Centre take a clear decision on Telangana and put an end to the ongoing crisis.
Slamming the Congress and the TRS for targeting the TDP, Naidu said the party had made its stand clear on Telangana.
"The final decision on Telangana has to be taken by the Centre," he pointed out.
Reiterating that the TDP would intensify its fight against corruption at all levels, Naidu alleged that the United Progressive Alliance Government (UPA) had totally failed in stopping corruption and the stashing away of black money.
Naidu said that despite the Supreme Court slamming the UPA Government for its failure in bringing back black money, the government has failed to take any concrete measures to bring back the money.
Naidu added that the Prime Minister's office should be brought under the purview of the Lok Pal Bill to prevent corruption at the higher echelons.
Calling the Prime Minister a 'rubber stamp' of AICC president Sonia Gandhi, Naidu said the PM remained a mute witness even as the 2G spectrum scandal and other scams had surfaced. (INN)
