Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu today called upon Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi.
Naidu, who has been camping in Delhi since yesterday, met several union ministers and discussed various issues related to the State. It was said that the Chief Minister, during his meeting with the Prime Minister, discussed various issues including special status for the State, and relaxations and concessions for industries to be set up in the State. Modi apparently responded positively to the requests, and said that he would await the NITI Ayog report, too.
Naidu also met finance minister Arun Jaitley and discussed with him the various funds to be received by the State. He urged the finance minister to fill in the deficit budget gap of Andhra Pradesh, and grant funds for backward districts and subsidies for industries as given to Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh.
