Telugu Desam Parliamentary Party leader says that Naidu has made his stand his clear on the statehood issue and has recently written a letter to the Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh on the issue.
The Telugu Desam Party on Sunday declared that its president N Chandrababu Naidu has already made his stand clear on the separate Telangana issue.
Talking to reporters at NTR Trust Bhavan, Telugu Desam Parliamentary Party leader Nama Nageshwara Rao said that Naidu has made his stand his clear on the statehood issue and had recently written a letter to the Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh on the issue. Condemning the Telangana Political Joint Action Committee's chairman Prof M Kodandaram's statement claiming that he would not allow Naidu's padayatra in Telangana region, he questioned the authority of Kodandaram in saying so. He said that both Kodandaram and Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao have no authority or moral right to question Naidu.
However, Nageshwara Rao said that Naidu would answer the questions related to Telangana if they were raised by the people and not JAC or TRS. He claimed that the TDP has promptly raised the issue of Telangana in the Lok Sabha.
Meanwhile, in a separate press conference MLA Motkupalli Narasimhulu accused the TPJAC of acting like a wing of TRS. He alleged that Kodandaram was favouring TRS and Congress in raising suspicions over the intentions of TDP leaders. Alleging that KCR has been accumulating wealth in the name of Telangana, he asked why Kodandaram was not raising the banner against KCR's exploitation.
Narasimhulu said that JAC's allegations against Naidu were politically motivated and aimed at favouring TRS and Congress.
Earlier, the Telugu Desam Telangana Forum members held a meeting to discuss the arrangements for Naidu's "Vastunna Mee Kosam" padayatra which will be entering the Telangana region on Monday. (INN)
