Gangula Bhanumathi, widow of Maddelacheruvu Suri who was shot dead recently in the city, alleged that Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu was the brain behind this murder.
Talking to media persons, Bhanumathi said that Naidu had hatched a conspiracy and deputed Bhanu Kiran to kill Suri.
Maddelacheruvu Suri was the prime suspect in the murder of Paritala Ravindra, who was a Telugu Desam MLA from Anantapur.
Bhanumathi demanded that Naidu take moral responsibility for Suri's killing.
Bhanumathi also alleged that the family members of Paritala Ravindra were responsible for the murder.
She said that Suri had sought police protection since he feared threat to his life from Paritala Ravindras' close associates, Potula Suresh and Chamman. However, the police did not provide security and ignored his appeal, she pointed out.
The slain factionists' widow added that Naidu had conspired to kill Suri since the TDP president feared that party members would not be able to save their security deposits in Anantapur if elections were held there.
Bhanumathi also alleged that the families of former MLAs Narayana Reddy and Chenna Reddy were killed as part of Naidus' conspiracy.
Stating that she had lost confidence in the state police, over their ability to arrest the prime suspect in Suri's murder, Bhanumathi revealed that she would meet the CM and urge him to hand over the investigations to the CBI.
Bhanu Kiran has been absconding since the shootout.
Bhanumathi alleged that the police is interested in Bhanu Kiran's property and not in his arrest.
She also blamed some media channels of filing false reports in order to mislead the public.
