Challappa Commission For STs Increased By One Year

The Telangana government extended the time period S Challappa Commission's survey of Scheduled Tribes in the State by one year.

The Telangana government extended the time period S Challappa Commission's survey of Scheduled Tribes in the State by one year.

The Tribal Welfare department issued a Government Order stating that the Challappa commission would work till January 31, 2018, from Feb 1, 2017.

Tribal Welfare Principal Secretary Somesh Kumar said that the Commission, comprising of a chairman and two other members, would submit its report in six months from the date of beginning the inquiry.
