CBI officials probing the Railway Recruitment Board question paper leakage scam, on Wednesday, arrested RRB Mumbai chairman S M Sharma and Raipur Senior Divisional Personal Officer G Sethi.
They will be produced in CBI Court on Thursday.
The CBI had earlier in the day taken 8 other accused in its custody for 3 days, following an order by the CBI Special Court, Nampally.
These 8 accused were lodged in Chanchalguda Jail. They were handed over to CBI officials by the jail authorities, following the court order.
The accused have been identified as Vivek Bharadwaj, Arun Kumar Jagannath, Surjan Kumar Jagannath, Manda Rama Shesha Ramayanamurty, J Kumaraswamy, J Ramesh, J Tirupati and P Ashok Kumar.
Earlier, on 21 June, the Railway Ministry had accorded permission to the CBI to probe the role of RRB chairman S M Sharma in the scam, under the provision of Section 6-A of the DSPE Act, 1946.
