"Cash For MLAs" Scam: TRS Stages Protests Across Telangana

Accusing the BJP of trying to purchase four TRS MLAs, TRS leaders and activists staged protests across the State on Thursday.

The TRS leaders burnt effigies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other BJP leaders, and staged road blockade programs at various places.

TRS MLAs Balka Suman and Dasyam Vinay Bhaskar staged a protest in the Chandur mandal headquarters in the Munugodu constituency, and later, burnt an effigy of Narendra Modi.

In the Peddammul mandal headquarters in Vikarabad district, a protest was organised by Municipal Chairman Rammohan Reddy, and milk was poured onto a photo of Tandur MLA Pilot Rohit Reddy for alerting the police of the alleged operation by the BJP.

Protests were also organised by TRS leaders across Khammam district. In Elkanur village, TRS leaders burnt an effigy of Modi and criticised him for trying to topple the TRS government in Telangana.

In the Asifabad district headquarters, too, the TRS organised a massive protest and burnt an effigy of Modi. MLAs Koneru Konappa and Aathram Sakku, ZP chairperson Kova Lakshmi and others were present.
