Case Booked Against Ramanaidu’s Grandson
A case has been booked against filmmaker Ramanaidu's grandson Abhiram Daggubati under various sections, for allegedly having assaulted civil engineer Ravi Teja.
The City Police has registered a case against Abhiram, grandson of film mogul D Rama Naidu.
The Banjara Hills police booked the case under section 447 of IPC (criminal trespass), 342 (wrongful confinement) and 506 (criminal intimidation).
An FIR was lodged against Abhiram Duggubati, brother of actor RaNa Daggubati, in response to alleged assault on a civil engineer of the name Ravi Teja. Accordong to the civil engineer, a drunk Abhiram walked into the site of a construction work being undertaken by the former, and loudly denied him "permission" to go further with it. Arguments ensued, and then the two got into a tussle.
About half-an-hour later Ravi, who is a neighbour of Abhiram, went to the Banjara Hills police station to file a complaint.
Abhiram is the son of Suresh Babu, producer and a high profile figure in the film chamber. His other son RaNa is an actor.
D Ramanaidu was the TDP MP from Bapatla, and lost to D Purendeswari in 2004. (INN)
