The Nalgonda police today booked a case against BJP Telangana chief Bandi Sanjay Kumar for touring the district without taking permission from them.
District SP A V Ranganath said that the BJP leaders had not taken any permission from them for the visit of their state party chief.
He said that the permission letter was submitted to them at the last minute, and after the entry of Sanjay into the district.
He made it clear that there was no permission for any politician to hold public meetings in the district, due to the Model Election Code of Conduct in place.
He also said that the police had also booked cases against the activists of the TRS and the BJP over the violent incidents that took place between them during the last two days.
