The Pepperdine University Of California has proposed to set up educational facilities in Andhra Pradesh.
A 9-member delegation from the university led by Timothy M Chester met Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy at Camp Office in this regard.
Minister for Information Technology, Ponnala Lakshmaiah, accompanied the university's delegation. The Pepperdine University proposes to establish its campus in 500 to 600 acres land on the Nalgonda-Warangal route in Andhra Pradesh.
The university intends to invest about Rs. 1,000 crore and will have an intake of 3,000 students.
The university also proposed many exchange programs between universities in Andhra Pradesh and Pepperdine, particularly in law and engineering.

The university's 830 acre-campus is located in Malibu overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Courses are taught in Malibu, at 4 graduate campuses in southern California, permanent program facilities in Washington DC, and at international campuses in Germany, England, Italy, Argentina and China. The university was established in 1937.
