The unions remained adamant on a 43% fitment allowance, and the Andhra Pradesh and the Telangana governments both sought more time to consider the demand.
The cabinet sub-committees formed by both the Andhra Pradesh and the Telangana governments failed to break the impasse over the ongoing strike by the employees of the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC).
The talks held by the cabinet sub-committees with the employees union remained inconclusive on Sunday.
The unions remained adamant on their demand for payment of a 43% fitment allowance, and the governments both sought more time to consider their demands.
Speaking to media persons later, AP Minister K Atchan Naidu said that its sub-committee had sought three weeks to look into the workers' demands.
Telangana Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy said that the state's sub-committee would brief Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on the issue before resuming talks with the unions on Monday. (INN)
