Stepping up its attack on the Modi government over its "failure" to recruit for two crore jobs every year, the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) today termed the Telangana BJP leaders' Nirudyoga march on Saturday as a "lies march".
Speaking at a press conference, Government Whip and MLA Dasyam Vinay Bhaskar and MLC Pocharampalli Srinivas Reddy said that the BJP didn't have any right to stage protests in Telangana for unemployed youth as the Centre had been deceiving the youth on job notifications for the last nine years.
Vinay Bhaskar alleged that those who had attended the Nirudyoga march held in Warangal were not the actual unemployed youth, but daily wage labourers.
He also said that the State government has so far recruited people for about 1.32 lakh jobs since the formation of Telangana State, and that fresh job notifications for another 80,000 posts had been issued.
The BJP leaders were deliberately creating unrest in the peaceful State of Telangana for their political gain, and were trying to inject poison in the minds of the youth, he said.
He asked the BJP leaders to instead stage a protest in New Delhi against the union government, demanding the implementation of the AP Reorganisation Act.
