Hyderabad | 10th May 2024
BRS social media convenor Krishank has been granted conditional bail by the Nampally criminal courts.

The police had registered a case against Krishank for creating a fake OU circular and making it viral.

Krishank is currently lodged in the Chanchalguda jail.

As per the bail order, Krishank needs to furnish two sureties of Rs 25,000. He was also asked to appear before the police every day.

Krishank was arrested by the police a few days ago at the Panthangi check-post. His car was stopped and he was taken into custody. He was then taken to the Choutuppal police station.

The police took the action after Congress leaders lodged a complaint against Krishank alleging that he had created a fake letter in the name of the OU VC.

They said that a fake document had been created stating that a circular had been issued to close down hostels due to shortage of water and electricity. The police concluded that even the circular referred to was fake.

Congress leaders said that the circular had been prepared to topple the Congress government.
