BRS, Congress Activists Pelt Stones At Each Other In Ibrahimpatnam
The incident took place when BRS candidate Manchireddy Kishan Reddy and Congress candidate Malreddy Rangareddy were going to file their nomination papers.
Tension prevailed today in Ibrahimpatnam of Ranga Reddy district during the filing of nominations by the BRS and the Congress candidates.
Stones rained between the BRS and Congress activists in the constituency.
The incident took place when BRS candidate Manchireddy Kishan Reddy and Congress candidate Malreddy Rangareddy were going to file their nomination papers.
Both the BRS and the Congress took out huge rallies simultaneously for the events, and at one point the rallies ran into each other, and things quickly escalated.
BRS flags were thrown at the Congress leaders, and vice versa. That led to the leaders and workers of both the parties pelting stones at each other. In the process, leaders and activists of both the parties were injured, and a tense situation came to be. The windows of the Congress candidate Malreddy Ranga Reddy's vehicle were destroyed, and he immediately disembarked from the vehicle and left.
The police immediately got into controlling the situation by baton-charging the leaders and workers of both the parties.
