Botsa Dares Naidu to Seek CBI Probe If Clean
YSR Congress leader and former minister Botsa Satyanarayana asked how the people of AP could live with dignity if the CM himself resorted to corruption.
Mounting a scathing attack on the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on the Note-For-Vote issue, YSR Congress leader and former minister Botsa Satyanarayana today said that Naidu should seek a CBI probe into the matter if he was really clean.
Speaking to the media at Lotus Pond in Hyderabad, Botsa asked how the people of AP could live with dignity if the Chief Minister himself resorted to corrupt practices.
He noted that Naidu was only saying that his phone was being tapped, but never said that the tone in the tape released was not his. He also noted that the Chief Minister had not condemned the Revanth Reddy affair.
Botsa said that a common man and a Chief Minister were equal in cases of corruption, and that anybody's phones could be tapped if necessary. Chief Ministers could not have special protection in the matter, and the Constitution had not given permission to any Chief Minister to indulge in corrupt practices, he said.
He accused Naidu of creating a rift between the people of the two Telugu states with his actions and allegations.
The former minister said that if Naidu had really not committed any offence he should fight legally, but that he should not commit more mistakes to cover up his mistake and in the process bring down the reputation of the whole state. (NSS)
