AP Deputy CMs Dare T Government To Prosecute Naidu

K E Krishnamurthy and N Chinna Rajappa were all fire and brimstone at Telangana Home Minister Nayani who took the AP CM's name in the Revanth Reddy case.
Hyderabad | 5th June 2015
AP Deputy Chief Minister K E Krishnamurthy today said that it was not proper for Telangana Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy to have taken the name of AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu in connection with the "cash-for-vote" case involving TDP MLA Revanth Reddy.

Reddy had insinuated that Naidu was the brain behind the scam.

Krishnamurthy made insinuations of his own when he questioned the reported comment of KCR before mediapersons after his cabinet meeting that "you will hear a breaking news in another one hour." What was the logic behind this comment of KCR, Krishnamurthy asked.

The AP Deputy CM expressed hope that Reddy, who was arrested in the case, would come out clean.

The other AP Deputy Chief Minister N Chinna Rajappa went further and dared the Telangana government to book Naidu in the scam.

Rajappa also challenged Reddy to make public the audio tapes of Naidu's alleged conversation with the nominated MLA of Telangana.

Rajappa added that the TDP would complain to the Centre about the phone tapping by the TRS government in Hyderabad, the common capital of the two states.

Rajappa, who also holds the Home portfolio of AP, was also reacting to Reddy's allegation that Naidu was involved in the cash-for-vote scam.

For those who came in late, Revanth Reddy was arrested by the Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on May 31 in Hyderabad when he was offering Rs 50 lakhs to nominated MLA Elvis Stephenson to get him to vote for the TDP-BJP candidate in the Telangana Legislative Council elections.

The Telangana Home Minister claimed that the police had incriminating evidence that Naidu had also spoken to Stephenson.

Chinna Rajappa alleged that the TRS and the YSR Congress Party had hatched a conspiracy to implicate Naidu in a false case. He wanted to know why Stephenson was not arrested while Revanth Reddy was booked and taken into custody.

Chinna Rajappa said it was the TRS which used illegal methods to woo opposition legislators. He said with 63 legislators the TRS was in a position to win three or four seats in the Council, but secured five seats as it polled 20 more votes. He demanded a probe into the additional votes polled by the TRS candidates. (NSS)
