BJP leader and former minister Etala Rajender today spoke about the prospects of his party in the upcoming Huzurabad by-election and stated that it would win the seat with ease.
Speaking at a party meeting in the constituency, the leader claimed that the usual "tactics and conspiracies" allegedly employed by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and his son, IT Minister K T Rama Rao, would not help their party, the TRS, capture the seat this time.
Rajender reiterated that though the leaders of the ruling party were "hatching several conspiracies" to win the election, the people of Huzurabad would never support the TRS.
"People all over Telangana are rejecting CM KCR's rule. His desperation to hold on to power is evident from the fact that he has been treating the upcoming Huzurabad by-election as matter of life and death," he claimed.
During the meeting, the rank and file of the saffron party discussed at length the political strategy to be followed in order to clinch the upcoming by-election.
Union Minister of State for Home Affairs G Kishan Reddy, former MP A P Jithender Reddy, and Telangana BJP in-charge Tarun Chugh were among those who attended the meeting.
