Former minister and BJP MLA Eatala Rajender today came down heavily on Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.
The MLA said that his self-respect was hurt when he was not allowed to meet the CM at the latter's camp office Pragathi Bhavan.
He made these remarks while addressing a Meet The Press program held by the Telangana Journalists' Union in the city.
Speaking on the occasion, he pointed out that the money being given by the state government to the farmers of the state under Rythu Bandhu did not belong to the CM, but to the people of Telangana. Asking why the CM was then including only the rich land-owning farmers and excluding farm labourers and tenant farmers from the scheme, he wondered why a rich person like him would require Rythu bandhu money.
He also alleged that the CM had given an MLC seat to a leader who had made the Telangana people bleed during the statehood agitation.
Attacking KCR further, Eatala also claimed that the CM had spent Rs 600 crore in trying to win the Huzurabad by-election, and asked how KCR had got so much money to spend for just a by-election.
He also alleged that KCR was carrying out a false campaign that he (Eatala) would soon join the Congress. He made it clear that he did not have any differences with state BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar, and that there are no groups in the saffron party.
He also said that he was ready to take on KCR if the BJP leadership asked him to do so, and exuded confidence that the BJP would form the next government in Telangana. He also claimed that a majority of the TRS leaders were in touch with the BJP, and that the former themselves were claiming that there was no future for the TRS in the state.
Referring to the efforts of KCR to form a third front at the Centre, he asked the CM to focus on the state first.
