BJP Slams TRS-MIM Alliance In Telangana

The Telangana BJP Minority Morcha President Syed Haneef Ali strongly condemned the likely alliance between the Telangana Rashtra Samithi and the Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen.

Speaking to media persons at the State BJP Office at Nampally in Hyderabad, Haneef Ali said that the TRS had insulted the martyrs of Telangana by initiating talks of an alliance with the MIM which had openly opposed the formation of Telangana.

He said that TRS President K Chandrasekhar Rao should have sent his MLAs to the residences of Telangana martyrs instead of sending them to the house of MIM leader Akbaruddin Owaisi. He said that the likely alliance between the TRS and MIM was not in the interest of the Telangana region.

Haneef Ali said that the TRS should have avoided proximity with the MIM as it had sufficient numbers to form the government on its own in Telangana. However, by aligning with the MIM, the TRS is trying to promote unhealthy politics in the new State. (INN)
