The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today promised to provide Covid-19 vaccines free of cost to the residents of the GHMC limits, in its manifesto.
Former Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis released the manifesto at the state headquarters of the party along with union Minister of State for Home Affairs G Kishan Reddy and state president of the party Bandi Sanjay Kumar.
The party also promised free tablets and free Wi-Fi to all the students of the city, free bus and metro rail passes to all the women, free drinking water in all residential colonies, 24-hour drinking water supply, 100 units of free power to all the poor families, 100% waiver of property tax in slum areas, Rs 25,000 to all the victims of the recent floods, a toilet for women every one kilometre, and houses to all homeless families under the PM Awas Yojana.
Speaking on the occasion, Fadnavis said that the manifesto was aimed at fulfilling the aspirations of all the people of the city. He said that the manifesto was meant for the poor and weaker sections people of the city.
It also promised to regulate the fee being collected by private educational institutions, an all-new Sumedha Act for the revitalization of the Musi river, and the demolition of illegal encroachments on storm water drains in the city.
