BJP MLC Protests Not Being Invited To Metro Rail Inaugural
BJP MLC and Greater Hyderabad BJP president N Ramchander Rao lodged a protest at not being invited for the inauguration of Metro Rail line between JBS and MGBS.
BJP Legislative Council floor leader and Greater Hyderabad BJP president N Ramchander Rao today lodged a protest at not being invited for the inauguration of Hyderabad Metro Rail line between JBS and MGBS.
The 11-km route with nine stations, part of the green line, was inaugurated by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today.
Speaking to media persons, the BJP MLC said that it was a breach of protocol for the state government to not extend an invitation to a local MLC for the function.
He said that it was the government's responsibility to follow protocol and invite all public representatives for such programs, and that its decision to not invite him, an MLC of an opposition party, to the function was deliberate.
"I lodge my strong protest at the government violating protocol norms," he said.
