Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) Kisan Morcha protested in Hyderabad on Wednesday, seeking immediate supply of urea and fertilizers to farmers of Telangana.
Talking to the media, Kisan Morcha national secretary P Sukanakar took exception to what it called the government's silence over the fertilizer issue, saying that farmers of the State have been facing immense problems because of the lack of attention by the ruling party.
The BJP Kisan Morcha leader also alleged that the ruling party had failed to provide fertilizers to the Telangana farmers, and claimed that the government should step down owning moral responsibility over the issue.
The BJP Kisan Morcha asked Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Chief Minister K Rosaiah to speak out if they had any sympathy for the farmers.
The Morcha wanted the central government to look into the farmers' matter to meet their requirements.
The BJP Kisan Morcha warned that until their demands are not met, the agitations would continue and spread.
