BJP Demands Centre Take Over Corona Situation In State
The Telangana BJP today wrote a letter to Union Home Minister Amit Shah urging him to intervene to ensure that things didn't go beyond control in Telangana.
Senior BJP leader Dr K Laxman today wrote a letter to Union Home Minister Amit Shah and urged him to intervene to ensure that things didn't go beyond control in Telangana in the issue of Covid-19.
He also requested Shah to send a high-power delegation vested with the power to take instant decisions and give instructions to save the people of Telangana, and especially the city of Hyderabad which he claimed was already showing signs of rampant community spread, on a war footing.
He said that although this was no time to make complaints, the state government was hapless, nonchalant and apathetic, and had left the people to their fates.
The medical fraternity was completely demoralised as no one cared for them, he said, claiming that they didn't even have safe kits.
"Over 160 medical personnel have been infected by the coronavirus. Meanwhile, junior doctors have gone on strike as they feel that the government hasn't been supporting them, and has in fact been exerting insurmountable pressure on only one hospital and the staff there," Laxman said.
