Telangana BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar today vowed to defeat CM K Chandrashekar Rao in the next Assembly elections.
He also said that he was embarking upon the second leg of his Praja Sangrama Yatra to defeat KCR.
He made these remarks while addressing a gathering of the party's leaders and workers on the occasion of B R Ambedkar's birth anniversary celebrations held at the state party headquarters in the city.
The national president of the OBC Morcha of the party Dr K Laxman and MLA M Raghunandan Rao also took part in the celebrations.
Speaking on the occasion, Sanjay alleged that the TRS and the Congress insulted Ambedkar at the drop of a hat.
He said that KCR was the country's only CM who did not take part in Ambedkar's birth anniversary celebrations, and that he (KCR) even wanted to change the constitution drafted by Ambedkar.
He said that the BJP would however never accept the constitution of Kalvakuntla family, and that he was embarking upon his yatra to end the "family-based, feudal and corrupt rule" of KCR and bring the vision of Ambedkar to the state.
Claiming that the BJP was the only party which was following the ideals of the architect of the Indian constitution, he said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had publicly stated that his PM's post was a gift of the constitution of Ambedkar, and that the party was making efforts to pass on the history and legacy of Ambedkar to the future generations.
He also claimed that the BJP had appointed dalits to several important posts of the country, including the President.
Laxman claimed that the second leg of the padayatra of Sanjay would change the face of the state. He also said that the BJP would provide 34% reservations to the BCs, 18% to the SCs and 10% to the STs of the state after coming into power.
