Telangana BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar today interacted with the victims of the Bhainsa riots.
He met the members of 30 families which had lost their houses in the riots.
During his interaction, he inquired about the financial conditions of the families. The victims turned emotional and tears rolled down their eyes during the interaction, leading to Bandi consoling them.
The families alleged that the local police had foisted cases against them under the PD Act although they (the families) were the ones that suffered in the riots. They claimed that the State government was still harassing them, and that it was the BJP and its leaders that had stood by them during the crisis.
Later, Bandi christened a three-month old baby boy belonging to Korvagalli of Bhainsa town. He named the boy after Prime Minister Narendra Modi, as Viswesh Narendra Modi Yedla.
The boy is the son of Yedla Mahesh and Naga Jyosna.
The couple told Bandi that they liked Prime Minister Modi a lot, and that they wanted to name their son after the latter. Bandi obliged and named the young boy.
