BJP Calls For State-Wide Protest Against Bandi's Arrest
The Telangana unit of the BJP today called for a 14-day statewide agitation condemning the arrest of its president Bandi Sanjay Kumar by the Karimnagar police.

The party's state leaders took this decision after a silent protest program today in the state party headquarters.
Party leaders K Laxman, Vijayashanti and MLA Raja Singh, and the Mahila Morcha leaders of the party, took part in the protest.
Speaking on the occasion, the leaders lamented that the police had arrested Sanjay although he was fighting on behalf of the employees of the state government.
They alleged that the state government was adopting a dictatorial attitude with the problems of its employees, and demanded that it immediately withdraw GO No 317.
They also said that they would continue their agitation till they unseated CM K Chandrashekar Rao.
Meanwhile, union minister G Kishan Reddy, MLA Eatala Rajender and party leader G Vivek Venkataswamy met Sanjay in the Karimnagar jail.
Also, the national president of the party J P Nadda will land in the city on Tuesday. He will meet the party's state leaders and hold discussions on the issue.
He is also expected to lead a "peace" rally from the Mahatma Gandhi statue in Secunderabad till Paradise circle.
