Congress leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka today lashed out at Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for allegedly indulging in large-scale corruption and land grabbing.
Addressing the media at a virtual event, he said that even after seven years of TRS rule, the people of the state were not able to fulfil their aspirations under the CM's rule, and that they had not gotten the results they had expected from his government.
"KCR's years in power have left all sections of society sorely disappointed. Those who had hoped the new state would bring with it an era of better livelihoods and would afford them the chance to live their lives with self-respect and dignity have also been left entirely disappointed by the TRS. Instead of improving the welfare systems of the state, the CM went ahead and diluted various existing schemes. He has diluted the fee reimbursement scheme introduced by the preceding Congress-led state government. Even the Aarogyasri healthcare scheme is not being properly implemented," Vikramarka fumed.
These charges come alongside those made by the TRS' other rival in the state - the BJP. Just today, BJP state chief Bandi Sanjay Kumar asserted that the saffron party was currently "gathering information" about the criminal cases filed against the CM, and made clear the fact that the latter would "go to jail at any time now" as the "irregularities" committed by KCR had been unearthed by the BJP.
