For 17-year-old Keerthana, a teen from Bengaluru, her jubilation knew no bounds as she completed a darsanam of her "Ishta Daivam" today.
Keerthana has set a rare record by writing the Govinda name 10,01,116 times within a short time.
Sharing her divine experience, she said that she was inspired by the tradition of writing Ramakoti that has been in vogue for several decades in Indian society. She said that she used to see her elders and villagers writing the Ramakoti since her childhood. That inspired her to write the Govinda Koti which she began in the 2023 Navratris.
She said that she wrote every morning and evening with utmost devotion, resulting in the TTD giving her a special break darsan to see the Lord at the famed Tirumala temple.
For the uninitiated, the TTD has introduced a program aimed at encouraging students, young men and young women to write the Govinda Koti.
As a part of this, the TTD has decided to provide break darshan to individuals who have written the name Govinda 10,01,116 times, and a break darshan to the entire family of individuals who have penned the name Govinda ten million (one crore) times.
Keerthana, an Inter student from Bangalore, is the first one to write the name Govinda 10,01,116 times since the program started.
The TTD wished the girl a bright future and the blessings of Lord Venkateswara.
The Deputy EO of the Srivari temple Lokanatham made the necessary arrangements for the break darsan for her.
