The Boston Consultancy Group (BCG) today submitted its report on the
proposal to have three capitals for Andhra Pradesh, to the State government at the Chief Minister's camp office in Tadepalli.
BCG was the second entity roped in by the YSR Congress government to study the issues involved in the creation of three capitals for the State. Earlier, the G N Rao Committee had submitted its report which the State cabinet studied.
The decision on having (or not having) three capitals for the State will be taken after the studying of the reports submitted by both the G N Rao Committee and BCG, by
a high-power committee.
The 16-member high-power committee will meet on January 6, and submit its recommendations to the State government by January 20 after studying both the reports.
The recommendations of this committee will be placed before the Assembly.
