The 13-member team of the Andhra Pradesh Forensic Science Laboratory (APFSL) on Sunday began its probe into the fire accident in the A/C coach of Bangalore-Nanded Express that claimed the lives of 26 passengers in the wee hours of Saturday.
The forensic experts examined the ill-fated coach and collected evidence from it. They were assisted by senior officials of the Anantapur police. The experts also began DNA profiling to ascertain the identity of bodies charred beyond recognition. So far, only 13 bodies have been identified.
It may mentioned that 26 passengers, including two children, were charred to death when fire ripped through an A/C coach of the Bangalore-Nanded Express, near the Kothacheruvu railway station of Anantapur district. As many as 13 others were injured in the fire accident. (INN)
