Telangana BJP head Bandi Sanjay Kumar today asked Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to change his "arrogant ways".
Speaking after offering floral tributes to a portrait of famed social reformer Jyotirao Govindrao Phule at a function organised to celebrate the latter's 195th birth anniversary at the party's headquarters, Kumar lashed out at the CM for "neglecting" the state's BC community.
He called upon the community to launch an agitation against the "discriminatory" rule of the TRS government, and encouraged them to boycott KCR.
The BJP leader claimed that the prejudiced nature of KCR was evidenced by the fact that he had given major posts to only four BC leaders all the while claiming to be a pro-BC leader himself.
"The BC community in Telangana is suppressed under the rule of the KCR government. BCs are not given equal opportunities or political representation. I urge them to boycott the TRS and fight against it to claim their rights," he thundered.
Alleging that the CM was trying to erase the life stories of eminent personalities and leaders from the pages of the history of the state, Kumar asserted, "KCR never pays tributes to the eminent leaders of India although he has a lot of free time on his hands as he is always hiding out in his palatial farmhouse. And though our CM claims that he is following the ideals of Mahatma Phule, it is not him but the BJP-led Centre that is doing so. Mahatma Phule would be happy to see that the nation is being governed by true patriots today - a BC leader, Narendra Modi, has become the Prime Minister of India. This is what Mahatma Phule had envisioned. The BJP will continue to work in accordance with the great reformer's ideals and will always support them."
