Actor Nandamuri Balakrishna is on a pilgrimage spree post the success of
his vehicle to resurrection. Amid a rather enthusiastic reception by TDP leaders as well as his fans, he offered special pujas at the Yogananda Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple in Jaggayyapeta (Krishna district).
He had also visited the Penuganchiprolu temple in the district. On Thursday, he is visiting the temple at Antarvedi in East Godavari district.
The actor entered Telugu cinema over 3 and a half decades ago, and there is increasing speculation that he will take over the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), from the leadership of his brother-in-law Chandrababu Naidu. The actor has said that currently, he is all set to "don any role prescribed for him by the party high command". He said he has always been an active worker of the party and that he will continue to be so.
However, his acknowledgement that Naidu is taking forward the TDP well and that he would lead the party only if he has a "divine ordain" to do so, does nothing to soothe a rather avid fan base that would like to see him as Chief Minister.
Meanwhile, on the Tollywood front, plans are on to cast Balayya and NTR Jr. in a film together.
