Actor-turned-politician Nandamuri Balakrishna today said that his ailing nephew Nandamuri Tarakaratna, who has been hospitalised at Bengaluru after a heart attack, needed the blessings of the family's fans and all the Telugu people.
Speaking to media persons at the Narayana Hridayalaya hospital in Bengaluru after visiting Tarakaratna, Balakrishna said that the health condition of Tarakaratna was slightly better than what it was on Saturday.
He said that his nephew was responding to treatment, and expressed hope that the latter would recover soon. He also said that he was praying for Tarakaratna's speedy recovery.
Actor Junior NTR, who is the cousin of Tarakaratna, also visited him at the hospital, along with his (Jr NTR's) half-brother Nandamuri Kalyan Ram.
NTR said that the health condition of Tarakaratna was good, but that his cousin was still fighting for his life. He expressed hope that Tarakaratna would emerge from the hospital healthy. He said that Tarakaratna had not only his own strength but also the strength of all his fans and supporters.
NTR also said that Karnataka Health Minister Sudhakar had promised complete support to the family in extending the best treatment to Tarakaratna, and thanked the minister for his timely cooperation.
Speaking on the occasion, Sudhakar said that Chief Minister Bommai was taking special interest in the medical treatment being extended to Tarakaratna, and pointed out that the Karnataka government had brought Tarakaratna to the hospital by forming a green corridor from Kuppam of Andhra Pradesh.
