Bakrid Celebrated With Fervour Across Telangana
The Islamic festival of Eid-Ul-Zuha (Bakrid) was celebrated by Muslims across Telangana and its capital Hyderabad with religious fervour and devotion.

The Islamic festival of Eid-Ul-Zuha (Bakrid) was celebrated today with religious fervour and devotion across Telangana and its capital Hyderabad.
The festival, celebrated by Muslims across the world, is seen as a symbol of sacrifice and devotion towards God, and compassion towards the destitute, by its adherents.
Muslims across the city offered prayers at several Masjids and Idgahs at the break of dawn, and exchanged greetings. Thousands of Muslims offered prayers at the Mir Alam Idgah, Mecca Masjid, Masab Tank mosques and other places.
The police made elaborate security arrangements in Hyderabad and Secunderabad. The city Police Commissioner himself visited various places in the Old City and supervised the arrangements made for the festival.
The festival was also celebrated on a grand scale at several places across Telangana including Nizamabad, Bodhan, Warangal, Kazipet, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Adilabad, Nirmal, Bhainsa, Zaheerabad, Khammam, Mahabubabad, Nalgonda, Tandur and Vikarabad.
