Bajrang Dal Warns Pubs, Hotels Over Valentine's Day
The Telangana unit of the outfit released an open letter to Hyderabad's pubs, hotels and restaurants cautioning them against holding any Valentine's Day events.
The Telangana unit of the Bajrang Dal on Tuesday released an open letter to Hyderabad's pubs, hotels and restaurants cautioning them against holding any kind of Valentine's Day celebrations on their premises.
It also warned them of dire consequences if they failed to heed its "advice".
The Bajrang Dal told the managements of these establishments that it would not be Indian culture to hold such events. "What are these Valentine's Day, Kiss Day, Hug Day, Darling Day, Darling Night, Husband Night and Candle Light Day? Do we need such festivals that destroy our culture? The time has come to ponder over these issues," the regional samyojak of the outfit Subash Chander and other leaders said in their letter.
They also urged the public to extend their support to their cause.
