Baba Ramdev, who went on a fast demanding the return of black money stashed abroad by Indians, among other demands, continues to be in hospital.
The 46-year-old yoga guru, however, is adamant about his fast, even as he continues to be treated at the ICU in Himalayan Hospital in Dehradun. He was shifted there from Haridwar yesterday, the seventh day of his fast.
Spiritual guru and Art Of Living founder Sri Sri Ravi Shankar visited him in hospital to request him to end his fast. Sri Sri Ravi Shankar assured him that this was a personal visit and that he was not there as a representative of the goverment.
The government, too, has said that "it is not engaged in any 'back door' dialogue with yoga guru Ramdev".
Ramdev and the Central government have currently locked horns with each other, with each side claiming that the other has reneged on its promise.
Baba Ramdev's followers, meanwhile, are conducting pujas and other rituals, praying for his health.
