Former Indian cricket captain Mohammad Azharuddin has won the election for the next President of the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA).
He defeated his nearest rival Prakash Jain in the elections held on Friday.
While Azharuddin secured 147 votes, his rival Prakash Chand Jain got only 73 votes.
The other contender for the President post got only three votes.
The HCA has 226 members.
The elections were held by election officer V S Prashant. The voting for the elections was held from 3 pm, and the counting of the votes was held at 4 pm.
