Lashing out against Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) activists for attacking the residence of Information and Broadcasting Minister J Geetha Reddy, 20-Point Programme Implementation Committee Chairman N Tulasi Reddy stated that the attack had revealed the 'true colours of the TRS'.
Speaking to media persons at the secretariat, Reddy said that the attack on Geetha Reddy's residence and at the hospital belonging to her husband has revealed the extent of esteem the TRS holds for women and Dalits.
The chairman further said that the attack on the hospital was reprehensible since patients undergoing treatment there got panicked and emotionally disturbed.
Tulasi Reddy also lambasted the TRS for trying to create a sense of panic among the people by carrying out attacks on institutions which were in no way connected to the separate Telangana statehood issue.
The chairman advised people from Telangana not to get caught in the 'Drithurashtra-like iron grip' of the TRS, which claimed to espouse their cause, but in reality was resorting to senseless vandalism.
The TRS activists, led by senior party leader and Siddipet MLA T Harish Rao, had attacked Geetha Reddy's residence, and also her husband's hospital, as part of their attempts to obstruct the Andhra Pradesh formation day celebrations in Telangana region on Monday.
