Union Minister for Civil Aviation P Ashok Gajapathi Raju on Saturday welcomed the proposed talks between Chief Ministers N Chandrababu Naidu and K Chandrasekhar Rao of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana respectively, on issues concerning the 2 States that are pretty much rivals.
Speaking to media persons after calling on Chandrababu Naidu at the latter's camp office at the Lake View Guest House, Raju said that both the States should find amicable solutions to the contentious issues, as that would benefit the Telugu-speaking population in general.
He said that it was Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh who advised both the Chief Ministers to sit, discuss and resolve the issues between the two States.
He said that all steps should be taken to ensure that Andhra Pradesh and Telangana maintain a cordial relationship. (INN)
